Pabitra Mistry is a practicing Advocate of Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He has been working for safeguarding human rights of the people of the country and beyond. He is an active worker for the protection of environment, climate change and adaptation issues.
Mr. Pabitra became enrolled as an Advocate in the Bangladesh Bar Council in 2021 and since that he has been rendering legal services and advices to thousands of clients of the country and living around the world with a very successful and satisfaction mark. His main legal service point is at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and he is providing services in the below matters but not limited to – Civil, Criminal, Revenue Matter, Company Matter, High Court Original Jurisdiction Matter. Civil Matter category comprises to Civil Suit (Appeal, Revision), Family Matter Suit, Arbitration, Land Survey Matter. Criminal Matters comprises to Criminal (Appeal, Revision, Bail) etc. Original Jurisdiction matter comprises to Company Matter, Admiralty Suit, Customs Matter, Income Tax Reference Matter, Writ Matter etc.
Advocate Pabitra was born at Balabunia village under Batiaghata Upazila of Khulna district of Bangladesh in 1979. He inherited a pious family background. He is a follower of preaching of ShreeShree Harichand Thakur (1812-1878 AD) and ShreeShree Guruchand Thakur (1847-1937 AD) who delivered Matua religion-philosophy and he came from a Matua family. His father was Matilal Mistry (1936-2021) and mother was Sabitry Mistry (1944-2017). His grandfather was Saroda Mistry alias Saroda Goswami who was a very pious man and a famous Matua preacher in the Southern part of the Khulna district. Mr. Pabitra married to Bijaya Biswas and is father of two daughters namely Promy Bidya and Preety Bidya.
Pabitra Mistry achieved Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Science Group with distinguished marks (letter marks) in six subjects in 1995 from Bayarbhanga Biswambhar High School under Jashore Education Board of Bangladesh. After that he got admitted into Humanities group for Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) program at Batiaghata College (as present Govt. Batiaghata College). At HSC level study, Higher Mathematics and Accountancy were included as his co-subjects. After passing HSC from Jashore Education Board, he got admitted into Public Administration department in Dhaka University in the year 1998-1999 Session and he completed graduation and post-graduation degree in 2002 & 2003 respectively from the Dhaka University. As co-education, he joined Dhaka University Rover Scouts Group and also joined in the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) of Dhaka University Contingent, Naval Wing and achieved Military Science Certificate after departmental trainings. He became best profession in Male in the inter Dhaka City colleges and universities Firing Training competition held at Rajendrapur Army Centre at Rajendrapur Cantonment, Gazipur in 2003. He completed Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Bangladesh National University in 2012. He achieved EMBA degree major in Human Resource Management (HRM) in 2018 from the National Institute of Business Management, India. He achieved a course in International Politics from International Business Management Institute, Berlin, Germany. Advocate Pabitra participated in the various national and international training programs and got certificates in the training topics ranges from – Information Technology, AI, Climate Change, Environment Protection and Adaptation Issues, Human Resources Management, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Office Management affairs etc. He participated in the Multicountry Observational Study Mission in ICT INNOVATION in the Service Sector held on 7-10 January, 2018 in Dhaka, Bangladesh arranged by Asian Productivity Organization, Japan and National Productivity Organization, Ministry of Industries Bangladesh jointly. He completed APO conducted different e-learning courses on (1) e-learning Course on Knowledge Management Concepts and Practices held on 3-5 March, Dhaka 2010 organized by APO; (2) Self learning e-Course on the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001) held on 1 to 31 October, 2011; (3) Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation: Basic Course held on 29 May 2026.
He had served in Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat as Assistant Private Secretary (APS) (1st Class Government Service) to honorable Whip of Bangladesh Parliament (Member of Parliament (MP) of 99, Khulna-1 H.E. Panchanan Biswas for the period 2019 to 2024). He started his service life by joining in the private service sector namely Shatarupa Group. Before his joining to service in the Bangladesh Parliament, he served at Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) to the position of Manager, International Affairs and served at Manager, HR and Admin at RM Systems Ltd. During service in the Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) he served at Secretary of 2018 AFACT Secretariat of Host Country Bangladesh. The AFACT is a multicountry cross border ICT business speedup organizations for the Asia Pacific region. While studying in Dhaka University he joined in the leftist student union namely Bangladesh Chhatra Union (Bangladesh Student’s Union) and was Vice President of its Dhaka University branch and Vice President of Jagannath Hall Unit and he presided as the Chairman of the Hall Council of Jagannath Hall Unit held in 2005.
Mr. Pabitra is a theist. He beliefs that there is a Creator of this universe who is Omni-potent and Almighty. He is a follower of Matua religion-philosophy which inherited from his family. From the beginning of admission into Dhaka University, he involved himself into practicing of Matua literature and led many Matua organizations holding different positions. He was a founder member and one of the founding leaders/Organizers of Shree Harichand Shiksha O Sanskriti Parishad, Dhaka University which was established in 1999 and he was its General Secretary for the period of 2002-2023 and Senior Vice President in 2023-2024. He is involved in various social, religious, professional and cultural organizations. He has studied various religious books of Sanatan (Hindu), Islam, Buddhist & Christian etc and is a researcher of lives of the different people of the world. His articles written on Social life, environment issues, religious beliefs, patriotic poems, scientific thinking and cosmology have been published in Bangladesh and India in different periodicals/magazines like Ganomukti, Shanmasik Jagoran Patrika & Shanmasik Hariddhani Patrika and in the social medias and he is also member of the editorial board of many periodicals/magazines. He is strongly working to bring together of all world Matuas to the same Matua ideology and under one umbrella platform. He has been trying from a long period to organize Sanatan (Hindu) people being involved with different organizations and spreading right-way cultural practices. He believes in world brotherhood.
He loves music and is a cultural minded man. His hobbies are travelling, listening music, reading books, singing, watching documentary and law research and sports like football, cricket, badminton etc. He is member of different social, political, academic and professional organizations. He is member of multiple national and international professional organizations such as – Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association (BSCBA); International Bar Association (IBA), UK; American Society of International Law (ASIL), USA; APO Society of Bangladesh (country organization of Asian Productivity Organization, Tokyo, Japan) as well as he is member of various Academic and social networking organizations such as – Member of Dhaka University Alumni Association (DUAA); Member of Dhaka University Public Administration Alumni Association (DUPAAA); Life Member of Jagannath Hall Alumni Association, Dhaka University. Advocate Pabitra Mistry has travelled many countries of the world for tourism, cultural visit and official purpose such as – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Nepal & Bhutan.
